ARTIFICIAL REEFS

Support Marine Life With OBS

What are Artificial Reefs?

An artificial reef is a human-made underwater structure, typically built to promote marine life in areas with a generally featureless bottom, to control erosion, block ship passage, or improve surfing. Read more on Wikipedia.

The Ocean Bricks System provides a robust, eco-friendly construction method that allows the creation of complex artificial reefs for various purposes.

Red Sea reefs conservation project

The Red Sea is known for it’s breathtaking marine life. Every year, thousands of divers from around the world visit the lively, colorful reefs and enjoy the plethora of fish and coral.

However, increasing levels of pollution of the coral reefs have negatively affected the condition of the coral reefs, and their number had been slowly declining over the past two decades.

The Red Sea reef conservation project has been initiated in order to conserve marine life in the Red Sea, and the Ocean Bricks System has been utilized for the project. OBS enables marine biologists to easily plant corals and develop the artificial reef quickly and efficiently. The OBS artificial reef is currently supporting hundreds of species of coral and fish.
